During her Vivid Girl engagement she made more than a dozen feature films. While she was a Vivid Girl, Taylor also secured a recurring role on Playboy TV. After several contentious years as a Vivid Girl, in 2002 Taylor Hayes retired from adult films. AVN Magazine nearly contemporaneously included Taylor Hayes in their list of the "Top 50 Porn Stars of All Time".
Taylor Hayes has made several appearances in non-pornographic films as well, including the mid-1990s softcore film Animal Instincts III, and the 2003 B film Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain. Taylor Hayes announced her return to porn in December 2005. Her first return scenes were a multi-girl orgy for Shane's World Productions and an oral scene featuring Mark Davis, and shot by Glasser for his production company. In a further turnabout, Taylor Hayes is represented in her recent comeback efforts by ex-boyfriend Glasser's talent agency.
